9th FISU FORUM : FISU – OC working sessions

In the context of the preparation of the 9th FISU Forum to be held next July from 1st to 6th. in Krakow, Poland, Kolë Gjeloshaj, FISU Director of Educational Services and Chief of Staff to the President, conducted a working session on site on May 8th. He was accompanied during his visits by Renata Bojczuk – FISU Forum program coordinator, CESU member, Konrad Mirecki – FISU Forum logistics coordinator, AZS Krakow and Magda Wielgosz – FISU Forum Office coordinator, AZS Krakow. The Polish University Sports Federation (AZS) proposed to host this event as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National University Sports Federation of Poland which was created during the academic year 1908-1909. This is why the AZS choose the city of Krakow where one of the oldest universities of Europe (Jagiellonski University) is located.
The first part of the visit was dedicated to the inspections of the accommodation places. The students and the CESU members will be accomodated at the Zaczek Students Hotel. The delegation inspected the rooms and services for the participants and had a meeting with Grzegorz Murzanski, Manager of Zaczek Students Hotel and Foundation Bratniak of Jagiellonian University. The VIP’s will be accommodated at the Radisson Hotel.
The second part was dedicated to the visit of the meetings venues such as the Auditorium Maximum location of the Opening Ceremony and the Collegium Novum of Jagiellonski University where the sessions and the workshops are going to be welcomed. Mr. Kazimierz Trybalski – President of AZS Krakow, Honorary Organising Committee of the 9th FISU Forum and Konrad Welpa representative of the Jagiellonski University Rector office responsible for Forum, President of AZS Club at JU met the delegation at the University.
As one of the specificities of the FISU Forum is to mix lectures, working sessions, discussions and sport and leisure activities, the delegation visit the stadium Nadwislan which will be the venue for football game foreseen on the 5th of July. During the visit the delegation was accompanied by Pawel Opach, Municipality of Krakow, Director for EURO 2012. Today, May 9th, will be dedicated to the working sessions in offices of the AZS physical education offices of Krakow.
