The Collector's Ball
The Organizing Committee has brought out a new souvenir of the World University Baseball Championship: a collector's ball produced by the Diamond company. Milan Jirásek President of the Czech Olympic Committee received the first ball during the visit of FISU Technical Chair for Baseball Richard Naylor. There was a high interest for these balls in 2005, when the European Championship was played. The stocks should stand a large rush of the fans this time. The Championship itself will be played with the Diamond D1-iX3 with a special printing.
Five Live Broadcasts for WUBC on Czech TV
A memorandum between the Czech TV and the Czech Baseball Association was signed on March 7th, 2008. This document assures continuing successful partnership and proclaims cooperation by the organization of the WUBC’s televising. The Czech TV thus becomes the official partner of the event. The Czech TV will place into program five live broadcasts. There will be a new connection of a system of inner TV circuit for the Czech TV’s broadcasting at the ballparks. The final details will be specified after the determination of the WUBC schedule and Czech TV broadcasting program.
