2008 WUC Sport Shooting: Update

Delegations are arriving in Beijing, China for the 2nd World University Sport Shooting Championship which will take place from October 8th to 11th, 2008 hosted by the Chinese NUSF and the Tsinghua University. The participants will be lodged in the new buildings of the University which are reserved for foreign students. The competitions will take place in the same venues which were used in the Beijing Olympics, so technically, the championship will without doubt be top notch. Mrs. Ertlova, the FISU Technical Chair for Sport Shooting made a last inspection visit of the competition venues prior to the practice time of the athletes. Afterwards Mrs. Ertlova had a meeting with all technical staff to overlook the dense program. Indeed, 16 events in three days will be quite hectic as during the Olympics 15 shooting events took place in 8 days.
