MLB Potential Partner for 2008 WUC Baseball

On Monday, January 28th, 2008, a meeting was held with the Major League Baseball (MLB) represented by Mr. Clive Russell, the Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The main points of discussion during the meeting were a possible cooperation between the WUBC Organising Committee and the MLB and an effort to have more MLB games on Czech TV. Jan Bagin from Prague Baseball Week was attended the meeting and discussions also took place regarding MLB's potential support for that tournament. The support discussed could include the MLB Road Show going to Ostrava, Olomuouc and Brno, Fan Guides and Promotional Fliers and clothing for the volunteers, staff and VIP's. The Organizing Committee and the MLB will consider the above mentioned points and provide further details when these matters are confirmed. The final decision will be made by the beginning of March.
