Meeting with the Vice-Mayor
On the second day of the Supervision Committee inspection visit, the FISU delegates headed by President Killian visited the last venues on the program and met with the authorities directly involved in the daily preparation of the 25th Universiade. The morning started with the visit of EXPO, Hala Sportova and Pinki. Afterwards, the delegation started the official meetings. Mrs. Snezana Markovic-Samardzic Minister of Youth and Sports, welcomed the delegation in her office. During this meeting she was assisted by Mr. Aleksandar Sostar, Assitant to the Minister and by Vlajko Senic, State Secretary for Sports.
In the context of the FISU Rectors’ Forum to be organised in 2008 and the FISU Conference which will be organised during the 25th Universiade Mr. Killian and his colleagues and the Representatives from the General Secretariat met with Mr. Branko Kovacevic, Rector of the University of Belgrade, Mrs. Neda Bokan Vice-Rector and Slavica Kapetanovic, Secretary-General of the University. The Rector underlined how important these two events are for the University. Politika, the oldest (founding year 1904) newspaper of the country still in activity has an agreement with the Organising Committee. The presence of the FISU Delegation in its headquarters was the opportunity for its leaders to give an overview of the strategy set up to cover not only the Games but the activities of the members of the Organising Committee. The explanations were given by Herics Werner, General-Director, Dejan Stevovic Deputy Chief Editor of the Sports Newpaper of Politika and Miodrag Simenovic.

Meeting with the Rector
The day ended at the City Hall by exchanging the impressions of the members of the Supervision Committee on their first global visit with Radmila Hrustanovic, Deputy Mayor of Belgrade, Andreja Mladenovic Member of the City Council and Goran Kreclovic, City Secretary for Sports. All of them are members of the Executive Committee of the Organising Committee. Composition of the FISU Delegation: Mr. George E. Killian, FISU President, Mr. Kemal Tamer FISU Assessor – Member Evaluation Committee Mr. Stavros Douvis FISU Assessor - Member Evaluation Committee Eric Saintrond FISU Secretary-General Kolë Gjeloshaj, Director Educational Events and Chief of Staff to the President Mr. Sinisa Jasnic, President of the Serbian University Sports Federation and FISU Assessor and Vice-President of the Organising Committee, accompanied the delegation in all its meetings.
