FISU Delegates at FIS Autumn Meeting: Day 2

FISU delegates Roger Roth, Chair CTI Winter Universiade and Milan Augustin, Director of the Winter Universiade took part in the 2nd day of the FIS Autumn Meeting in Zürich. On the 2nd day were the disciplines Alpine skiing, Freestyle skiing, Snowboarding, ICR rules & Control etc. were scheduled. Roger Roth and Milan Augustin met the FIS experts who already have been involved in the 2009 preparations for quite a while now: FIS Snowboarding expert Peter Krogoll (GER) and FIS Alpine Skiing experts Matjaz Kranjc (SLO), Michiko Nakamura (JPN), Karl Frehsner and Herbert Klammer. The meeting for the Alpine Skiing Sub Committee was led by Janez Flere (ARG) during which also the International Alpine Skiing test for will be held in Yabuli from December 3-4, 2008, as Test event for the 2009 WU, was implemented in the FIS Calendar and Mr. Michiko NAKAMURA was officially appointed as technical director. The FISU delegates had a very fruitful discussion and already cleared several important issues which resulted from the Heads of Delegation meeting in Harbin which took place last week. FIS and the above mentioned experts together with FISU will try to find all solutions to help the Harbin OC. The FISU delegates were very satisfied with the meeting since it was a very crucial moment to meet almost all the people involved in the snow sports at the 2009 WU in Zürich in order to assure the right direction for the upcoming process from a technical point of view for the snow sports.
