2008 WUC Bridge: Opening Ceremony

The Fourth World University Championships have started in earnest today. During a fine opening ceremony, complete with Olympic-style parade of the athletes, Wu Qiang was chosen from among the players from defending champions China to perform the Oath of the Athletes in name of all the participants. Slawek £ata³a then did the same in name of the Directors.
The following countries take part in the WUC Bridge in Lodz, Poland: Austria - Canada - Chinese Taipei - Czech Republic - France (2 teams) - Germany (2 teams) - Great Britain - Indonesia - Netherlands (2 teams) - Norway (2 teams) - People's Republic of China - Poland (2 teams) - Singapore - Sweden - USA (2 teams)
