2008 WUC Water Ski: Update

The Head of Delegation Meeting
On September 30th, FISU first Assessor Mr. Malumbete Michael RALETHE (RSA) led the CISCA Meeting for the 2nd World University Waterskiing Championship in Tianjin city, P.R.China. During the meeting, Mr. Byong-jin YOU (KOR), FISU CIC member reported to the CISCA the accreditation status. FISU CT Chair, Mr. Sergei EFIMUSHKIN (RUS) then took the floor to give a brief introduction on the preparation of the Championship. IWSF President, Mr. Kuno RITSCHARD (SUI), and IWSF University Commission Chairman Mr. Phil CHASE (USA) also attended the meeting.
Till now, the number of participating teams reached 15: Australia, Belgium, Belarus, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, USA and the host, P.R.China. In the Technical Meeting and Head of Delegation Meeting held in the afternoon, Mr. Jeffery SMITH (USA), the Chief Judge, explained the technical aspect of the competition and the importance of the Water Skiing Championship. The Opening Ceremony will be held at 10:00am on October 1st.
