2008 WUC Women's Futsal: Update

On August 28th, FISU and the Organising Committee of the 1st World University Women'sFutsal Championship had a working meeting to finalize the details concerning the organisation. The Brazilian University Sport Federation (CBDU) was represented by its President, Mr. Luciano Cabral and the OC President, Mr. Roberto Maldonado. Fisu was represented by Pedro Dias – EC Member and John Warnock- FISU Technical Chair for Futsal. The event is confirmed with a participation of 10 teams: Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Iran, Kazakhstan, México, Paraguay, Portugal, Uruguay. The Opening Ceremony is confirmed on September 6th at 19h, and the first match will be played on September 7th at 14h. The final and Closing Ceremony will be held on September 13th.
