On August 21st, on the official opening day of the 22nd Summer Universiade in Daegu, Korea, the Korean Post issued the official stamp that commemorates this biennial university multi-sports event. The stamp sizes 26x36 mm and is printed on white unwatermarked paper. 1.8 million stamps were issued. The design of the stamp refers to the 'Dream for Unity' credo of the Daegu Universiade and depicts shaking hands forming the letter 'U', referring to the 'U' in 'Univerisade'. The original painting is from Geun-yong Park, the designer is Ji-won Mo. The stamp is available in sheets of 20 (4x5) or in pairs . Denomination of the stamp is 190 won.
