Name: DEBBIE Artist: Marco Moroso History:Debbie is a mountain fox and was named after Olympic ski champion Deborah Compagnoni. The mascot was chosen out of three proposals: a squirrel, a fox and a marmot. These annimals were proposed with the intention to combine the characteristics of the animals of the alpine area of Tarvisio with the typical elements of winter sports. Among the three proposals, the fox turned out to be the winning one at the very first sigth: its pleasant, clever, cunning and dynamic look represented the peculiar characteristics of student-athletes.
