FISU’s 2012 WUC-Year Kicked Off with Water Skiing in Santiago de Chile
From, January 12th to 15th, the FISU 2012 WUC-year kicked off with the 3rd edition of the FISU World University Water Skiing Championship in Santiago de Chile in Chile. This was a first for FENAUDE, the Chilean member ofFISU.
The event was held at the beautiful ‘Laguna Los Morros’ which is located in the suburb of San Bernardo. Home to a great many past world class water skiing events and site of the 2013 IWWF World Water Skiing Championships, Laguna Los Morros is considered one of the world's most prestigious competition venues for water skiing.
Seventeen countries had entered the competition, i.e.Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Chile, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, Slovakia and United States of America. The event brought together 65 participants (28 male & 20 female athletes and 17 officials) from four continents.
