Ski Commission Meeting
April 21st - 23rd, 2006 - Prague, Czech Republic
From April 21st to 23rd, the FISU Ski Commission met in Prague for analyzing the 05/06 season and fixing the dates for the upcoming issues of 2006/07 placed around the main event, the Winter Universiade in Torino. The meeting was hosted by the Czech University Sports Association. As usual, culture was the 1st day’s occupancy. A highly competent guide accompanied the two dozens of participants through the outstanding cultural city of Prague, followed by a lunch-combined boat trip on the “Vltava” and shopping opportunity in the city center. Second day started with a presentation of the Torino Universiade by the Vicar Vice-President of the OC, Mr Riccardo d’Elicio who answered also lots of specific questions concerning technical and logistic matters. The following cross-country ski meeting was led by Mrs. Zofia Kielpinska (POL) and the alpine ski meeting by Mr. Hans Falsehr (GER). The day ended with a typical dinner in a Czech restaurant, accompanied with music and of course the “best beer of the world”. Next meeting is foreseen in Strasbourg (FRA), by the end of april 2007.
