Continental Association News: 1st AUSF Table Tennis Championship: Update

The first round of team events have finished on April 25th. In Men’s Team Event, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, China, Korea and Vietnam won all their first round matches, and walked into the second round as group leaders. In Women’s Team Event, China, the leader of Group A, is going to face Team Thailand in the semi-finals, which won the second place of Group B. The Group B leader Korea and Japan from Group A shared the other 2 positions for the semi-finals.
With the attendance of Kenny Chow, AUSF Secretary-General and Ch. Amarsanaa, Secretary-General of the Mongolian Table Tennis Association, the draw of the Individual Events was chaired by the Chief Referee Chan Cheong Ki. With the support from the Mongolian national channel TV-9, the important matches of each event were broadcasted live. However, a great number of spectators still prefer to enjoy the game in the competition hall, instead of watching it on TV at home.
