Member Association News: CAN Announces Roster for 2008 WUC Baseball

Terry McKaig, Team Leader and Head Coach, of Team Canada’s (CIS) World University Baseball Championship's team are announce the 22 student-athletes that will be participating in the 4th World University Baseball Championship in the Czech Republic. The Canadian team is made up of student-athletes who participated in the CIS (OUA), NAIA and NCAA. “I feel very confident that we will make a run for the medal podium with the group of talented student-athletes that we were able to assemble in such a short time,” said McKaig. While the breakdown of student-athletes is mostly based in the USA, six members of the University of British Columbia’s squad, who play in the NAIA, and two student-athletes from the OUA (Ontario) one from the University of Guelph and the University of Waterloo will represent Canadian based schools.
