2008 WUC Women's Futsal: Update

From September 7th to 13th, 2008 the inaugural edition of the World University Women’s Futsal Championship will be staged in Vitoria, Brazil. The women’s event will be at a different location as the men’s event (Koper; Slovenia), in 2008, but it’s the idea to organise both events together in 2010, which will be in Novi Sad, Serbia. The 1st edition of the Women’s event will be played in two venues. The main venue will be the Alvares Cabral Gymnasium, which is approved by the Brazilian Futsal Championship and which is one of the main venues of the Brazilian National Futsal League with a seating capacity of 6,500. The second venue is the State Gymnasium. All teams will stay at the hotels located at the Camburí Beach, which is located some 10 km from the competition venues and 5 km from the airport. The meals for the teams will be served at hotel.
