Continental Association News: 1st AUSF Table Tennis Championship - Update

All Teams Arrived at 1st Asian University Table Tennis Championship
The 1st Asian University Table Tennis Championship will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from April 24th to 27th, 2008. On April 23rd, 11 teams including Iran, Mongolia, Japan, Macao, Korea, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, China, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam have already arrived in Ulaanbaatar for this upcoming event. Staff from the Local Organizing Committee are working very hard for the preparation of the event, the chairman of technical commission is Mr.CHAN from Hong Kong, he is also the chief referee of Table Tennis sport for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The table tennis equipment is newly bought from Germany, so the students from Asia will enjoy the top level table tennis tables in the coming week.
“We are experienced in organizing AUSF championships, because we've always been one of the most active AUSF members, and we learnt a lot from organizing FISU championships”, AUSF Assessor and Secretary General of the Mongolian Student Sports Federation, Dr. Jagal said. “Volunteers of the LOC understand AUSF CIC rules and procedures very well, so as to make my job very easy, and all the works of accreditation are running very smoothly.” AUSF CIC member Mr. Shen Zhen said. The games will be start in the evening of April 24th.
