FISU Present at 2nd IF Forum

FISU Secretary-General Eric Saintrond and FISU Media Representative Christian Pierre attended the SportAccord Forum for International Federations which took place in Lausanne, Switzerland from November 17th to 19th. The aim of this IF Forum is to provide an enhanced knowledge-exchange platform, which is of specific value to the IFs, i.e. a forum, for the IFs, by the IFs. The attendees were welcomed by GAISF President and SportAccord Chair Hein Verbruggen and IOC President Jacques Rogge opened the Forum. The two main themes of the Forum were ‘Leadership’ and ‘Media’ with break-out sessions and workshops during the two days of meetings. FISU Media Rep Christian Pierre was appointed as one of the ‘rapporteurs’ of a break-out session during the round-up at the last forum day. The FISU Staff delegates also took the opportunity to meet with FISU Assessor Leonz Eder and the Sports Director of the University of Lausanne and former Swiss National Volleyball Coach Georges-André Carrel.
