CIC Meeting in Brussels

From January 18th to 19th, the International Control Committee (CIC) met at the FISU Headquarters in Brussels. The following members attended the meeting: - Omar Al Hai, Chair; - Louis Nel Vice-Chair; - Eduardo Ramirez Vice-Chair; - Fernand Bottelberghs, Secretary; - Laurent Briel Director WUC. Aim of this working meeting was to define the future tasks of the CIC. A list was made to appoint the CIC member to the different International Supervision, Control and Arbitration Committees (CISCAs) for the 2008 World University Championships. The agenda for the next two Universiades was discussed as well. The technical evolution and its influence on the Work of the Committee was taken into consideration. Saturday morning the members examined the update of the Accreditation Guidelines and prepared the seminar for the new CIC members which will be staged in April.
