FISU EC Attributes 4 more WUC

At its meeting in Brussels, May 13th to 14th, the FISU Executive Committee has attributed four more World University Championships. Three will take place in 2008 and one in 2010.
2008
For 2008, the FISU Executive Committee has nominated - the National University Sports Federation of Serbia to host the 3rd World University Flat Water Canoeing Championship in Belgrade; - the National University Sports Federation of Poland to host the 4th World University Match Racing Championship in Gdansk; - the National University Sports Federation of Greece to host the 1st World University Weightlifting Championship in Athens. This brings the number of WUC in 2008 to 29: Archery - Badminton - Baseball - Beach Volleyball - Boxing - Bridge - Chess - Cross Country - Cycling – Field Hockey - Flat Water Canoeing - Floorball - Futsal - Golf - Handball - Karate – Match Racing - Orienteering - Rowing - Rugby 7 - Sport Shooting - Taekwondo - Triathlon - Sailing –Wrestling - Woodball - Wild Water Canoeing - Waterskiing - Weightlifting
2010
For 2010, the FISU Executive Committee has nominated - the National University Sports Federation of Greece to host the 5th World University Match Racing Championship in Crete. This brings the number of WUC in 2010 to 12: Golf - Rugby Seven - Wrestling - Futsal - Cross Country - Bridge - Orienteering - Handball - Badminton - Boxing - Chess – Match Racing
