2008 WUC Match Racing: Update

Event Grading
The event has applied for ISAF Grade 3. This grading is subject to review by the ISAF Match Race Rankings Sub Committee. The event may be re-graded when there is clear reason to do so.
Course
The course will be Windward/Leeward with starboard roundings, finishing downwind. The intended course area will be the seashore in front of National Sailing Centre, as it is shown on chart reference.
Coach Boats
Coach boats to share will be provided by the Organising Authority. The Organisers will provide berths for individual coach boats. Any interference by a coach with the racing or event organisation will result in a penalty applied at the discretion of the IJ to the appropriate skipper or team.
Boats and Sails
The event will be sailed in BALT 23 Armor. The OC will provide 8 boats. The following sails will be provided for each boat: mainsail, genoa, asymmetric spinnaker. Boats will be allocated by draw, either daily or for each stage as decided by the Race Committee.
The 4th World University Match Racing Championship will take place in Gdansk, Poland from July1st to 6th, 2008 and will be hosted at the National Sailing Centre of the Academy of Physical Education and Sport and the National Centre of Academic Sport in Gdansk ‘Gorki Zachodnie’.
