2008 WUC Beach Volleyball: Update

The 4th World University Beach Volleyball Championship will be hosted by the German city of Hamburg from July 2nd to 6th. As is often the case, volunteers will be the main driving force of the organisation. In addition to round about 150 competition supporters and helpers there are about 100 student volunteers who will take care of the delegations and will make them feel at home. Their responsibilities vary from shuttle service to access control, catering, housing care and communication in the mother tongue of the participants. The volunteers are an important component in every area of the event organisation and contribute to the success of an event of that dimension. The volunteers who come from all over Germany already became acquainted within the frame of a weekend at the Beach Center Hamburg and explored the sport and the Hanseatic city Hamburg.
