2008 WUC Sailing Cancelled

FISU regrets to inform its members that the 4th edition of the World University Sailing Championship planned to be held from September 22nd to 27th, 2008, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, will unfortunately have to be cancelled. Indeed, after the registration deadline, the Organising Committee informed FISU that only six countries had regfistered in time. After consulting the FISU Technical Chair for Sailing, Mr. Roland Galliot, FISU decided to give a second chance to the OC of this event and therefore sent recalls to all potential participating countries. At this date, we unfortunately registered ten countries, all from the European continent. We strongly apologize for all the inconvenience that this may cause to the athletes and participating countries who had registered for the event.
