The referees meeting
The second day of the preparations for the World University Taekwondo Championship was dominated by the traditional meetings. During the meeting they discussed about the nomination of the chair of the referees and the technical aspects of the event.
After the meeting Mr. Min used the opportunity to visit the EXPO 21 Hall, where in 2009 the Universiade Taekwondo competition will be held. Next scheduled meeting was at the hotel of the referees where the Referees Meeting took place. During this meeting FISU CT Chair Ken Min explained the importance of the independence of the referees and wished them good luck and correct judging.
Team Germany practicing
The major issue of the meeting was established according the Taekwondo tradition, i.e. the appointment of the referee-in-chief. Organizing Committee, WTF delegate and FISU CT Chair nominated Mr. Coskun Eftikin, a very experienced international referee, which also was involved as director of the taekwondo competition venue during the 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir.
At the end of the day the Serbian Taekwondo Federation invited the FISU Family, the WTF representative and all involved referees for a welcome cocktail drink which was held at the river boat on the river of Danube. The participating countries used the day for practice.
