FISU 1st Vice-President Receives Literary Award
May 15th, 2007
FISU 1st Vice-President Claude-Louis Gallien received an award from the French Sports Writers Association in the category ‘Documents and Essays’ for his book ‘100 ans de PUC’ (100 Years of PUC). The award was presented to Mr. Gallien at an official ceremony which took place at the premises of the French Sports newspaper ‘l’Equipe’ in the presence of the Editorial Director of l'Équipe Mr Claude Droussent (who is also the President of the French Sports Writers Association) and of Jean-François Lamour, French Minister of Youth and Sports and former Universiade and Olympic champion. A fantastic reward for an enormous work of research. Indeed, the book, a publication of Atlantica Publishing retraces a century of the Paris University Club or ‘PUC’. Flooded with anecdotes and documents of the olden days, one reads fluently through the 400 pages! An indispensable work for the FISU library…
