FISU Women & Sport Award

FISU has the pleasure to launch its inaugural Women and Sport Award. By launching this award, not only do we want to demonstrate that FISU is mindful of women in sport issues, but also that FISU is supportive of higher integration of women in sport at all levels. To emphasize this commitment, for the first time in FISU history, we have established a Women’s Committee. This committee is comprised of five members, four which are members of the FISU Executive Committee, (Verena Burk-Chair; Alison Odell; Kairis Ulp; Peninah Kabenge) along with Mrs. Macide Tuzum from Turkey. Indeed, we hope the activities of this Committee will have a role in stimulating future projects from our members for years to come.
