2008 FISU Forum: Update

The smallest conference room (150 people). The Opening Ceremony will be staged in the big conference room ( 600 people)
On November the 29th, the OC of the 9th FISU Forum, made an inspection visit in Krakow. During that visit, the OC members met the Vice-Mayor of the City of Krakow Mrs. Elzbieta Lecznarowicz and the Chancellery Director of the Mayor of the City Mrs. Anna Frankiewicz. The OC also visited Jagiellonian University and met Andrzej Pelczar, President of AZS Senior Club and former UJ Rector (1990-1993), who is a world famous mathematician. Both institutions, the City of Krakow and the Jagiellonian University have confirmed their support for the Forum organisation.
Hostel Room
An on-site visit was held as well. The hotel Zaczek that will host participants of the FISU Forum is located very near the old town. Rooms are recently renovated, all equipped with bathrooms and fridges. There is also a nice club with two floors that can be used for workshops and evening activities. A conference room for plenary sessions is located near the hotel. As for the opening ceremony, it will be held at the modern buildings of the Jagiellonian University.
