2008 WUC Sport Shooting: Closing Ceremony

October 11th, the Closing Ceremony of 2nd World University Shooting Championship was held at 8pm in "the Auditorium", one of the famous ancient buildings in Tsinghua University, Beijing, P.R.China. Mrs. Chen Xu, Vice President of Tsinghua and Executive President of the OC, made a speech to thank all the participants and the FISU delegates, who joined this championship and filled it with communication, friendship, and enjoyment. After that, Mr. Kwun Kuing-Bo from Korea, the delegate of CISCA, also thanked the OC and all the competitors in name of FISU.

With the melodious anthem of FISU, the 2nd World University Shooting Championship was formally closed. A cultural programme with themes of the 5 colours in the FISU brand, including the Chinese traditional music and Kung-Fu show, led the party of youth to a climax.
The championship lasted for four days, beginning from October 8. Participants from all over the world took part in pistol, rifle and trap shooting. Altogether there were 16 programs with 28 gold medals at stake. Host China finally won 12 gold, 2 silver and 8 bronze, ranking the first on the medal table.
