2008 WUC Shooting: Update

The 2nd World University Sport Shooting Championship will take place in Beijing from October 5th to 15th, 2008, and will be hosted by the Tsinghua University, one of the most famous universities in China with the highest number of academicians in Chinese universities and colleges. Sport Shooting took off a difficult start in the FISU program as the 1st edition in 2002 had to be postponed to 2003 due to the flooding of the venue at the time. After an organizational gap in 2004 and 2006, Sport Shooting was on the 2007 Summer Universiade Program in Bangkok as a successful optional sport and the 2008 WUC will be a great tool to continue the restarted interest in Sport Shooting as a University Sport.
