Danish Delegation Visits FISU HQ

Today, September 11th, a group of delegates from the city of Esbjerg in Denmark visited the FISU Headquarters in Brussels to learn more about the FISU events. The city council of Esbjerg wants to promote its city and region and the organisation of international sporting events is one of the ways of promotion the council is considering. The also want to re-boost University Sports in Denmark as they are aware there are hardly any activities left in their country. The delegates present at the FISU HQ were all involved in sports and education. They were welcomed by FISU Secretary-General Eric Saintrond. After watching a promotional film on the FISU sporting events, Mr. Saintrond made a presentation to the group about the key points of FISU and its sporting events such as the Universiades and World University Championships. In the afternoon the Danish delegates visited the European Commission.
