Chinese Gunners Dominate First Day of Competitions
Women's 10m Rifle qualification round

In the 10m air rifle Men final that ended yesterday October 9th, 2008, the Chinese team, represented by Liu Tianyou, Cao Yifei and Luo Yulin, won the championship. This is the first team gold medal in this championship. The corresponding individual program was won by Italian athlete Nicolo Campriani.
In the 10m air rifle Women final, Zhao Yinghui from Tsinghua University got the gold medal, which was the first individual gold medal for Team China.
In the 10m air rifle Women final, Team China including Zhao Yinghui and Liao Sha from Tsinghua and Wang Qinqin from Shandong province got the gold medal in the team competition, while Liu Tianyou, Cao Yifei and Luo Yulin took the corresponding Men’s team gold medal.
In the 50m rifle 3x20 shot Women's final, Wang Qinqin from Shandong, China took an individual gold medal. In the team competition the Chinese team represented by Wang Qinqin, Shang Shasha and Wan Yanxiang captured another team gold medal.
