FISU Vice-President Becomes Council Member of CIFP

Mr. Xinsheng Zhang (CHN), FISU Vice-President, was admitted as Council Member of the International Committee for Fair Play (CIFP). The goal of the International Committee for Fair Play (CIFP) is the world-wide defence and promotion of fair play. The activity of CIFP focuses on national and international organizations working for sport and education, on high level athletes, and very emphatically on children, adolescents and on those in charge of training them - on coaches and trainers. Current President of the CIFP is Dr. Jeno Kamuti, a former Olympian and Universiade Champion in fencing. In the past the Fair Play Award was given to former FISU Secretary-General Roch Campana (2003), the united Korean delegation at the 2003 Summer Universiade in Daegu, Korea, Turkish-Canadian wrestler Yasin Kaya at the 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir, the Great Britain ice hockey squad at the 2007 Winter Universiade in Torino and the Italian Soccer team at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok.
