2008 WUC Badminton: Update

An official Badminton Line Judges course was held at the University of Minho, in Braga on December 21st in preparation for the 10th WUC Badminton that will be held in Braga at the same University in May 2008. The course was orientated by Henrique Neto from the Portuguese Badminton Federation and had 61 trainees involved from a total of five Portuguese cities. This Badminton Line Judges course is an important technical feature. It permits the participation of the young people and create a significant stimulation on the Portuguese population for the Badminton activity. The LOC President Roque Teixeira, the Secretary-General, Fernando Parente, and FADU President, Paulo Ferreira, were also present at this important pre-Championship event. This was the first stage of the line judges training for the World Championship with a further seven moments scheduled.
