During the EUSA General Assembly, which was held in the Continental Hotel Beograd in Belgrade on the 1st December 2007, the Greek OC presented the 8th World University Wrestling Championship, to be held by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 9-13 July 2008. The stand of the Organizing Committee of the Championship was visited by FISU President George Killian, EUSA President Alberto Gualtieri as well as the delegates of 40 European University Sport Federations-members of the EUSA, which participated in the Assembly. During the presentation, the participants of the EUSA General Assembly had the opportunity to watch a promotional video with images of everyday life in the city of Thessaloniki, as well as in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the city and the University that will host the 8th World University Wrestling Championship. All the participants were provided with informative material about the Championship and some promotional material of the Championship (T-shirts - posters). The Championship booth was also visited by the General Secretary of the Greek Ministry of Sports, Dr. Stavros Douvis, who expressed his satisfaction about the Championship’s presentation, as well as by Mr. Michalis Kiritsis, President of the Hellenic Committee for University Sport. The Organizing Committee of the 8th World University Wrestling Championship was represented by the General Director of the Championship, Mr. George Karagiannis, the General Coordinator of the Championship Dr. Vassilios Papaharisis and the Secretary of the Organizing Committee Mrs. Christina Michelakaki.
