2008 WUC Futsal: Update

SUSA was present at the annual Students Arena, largest students fair in Slovenia, which took place from October 16 to 18 at the Ljubljana Fair. This year the NUSF focused on football and futsal. As the Slovenian University Sports Association is participating in the pan-European campaign 'Football Against Racism in Europe' (FARE), together with partner organisations, they prepared a mini-tournament in table football/soccer. SUSA invited the first league players from Interblock Ljubljana club to join them and they accepted the invitation. Through this action we stood up against rasism and all types of discrimination, stressing that the focus should be on the game itself. At the Arena SUSA also had the opportunity to promote the 11th World University Futsal Championship, the International University Sport Federation (FISU), and the announcement of SUSA's intention to bid for the 26th Winter Universiade Maribor 2013.
