2009 WU: Sport Science Conference

On the occasion of 24th Harbin Winter Universiade, the '2009 Winter Universiade Sport Science Conference' sponsored by FISU will be held at the Harbin Engineering University from February 12-16, 2009. The theme will be: “Nature, Innovation, Transcendency”. The conference aims to facilitate further development of sports and sports science for the benefits of people from all over the world, to reflect the tremendous influences on China and the world as well as to promote the development of Winter Sports and its cultural exchange. The conference consists of science meetings, mayor’s forum and presidents’ forum. The Organizing Committee will invite representatives from Sotchi in Russia, Erzerum in Turkey, European Alpine or Pyrenean regions, Canada, USA, China or Asia in general to the Conference.
Keynote Speeches
International well-known experts and scholars will be asked to deliver keynote speeches concerning ecological environment, urbanization, physical education and sports training, sports and fitness, science and technology to sports etc. Sub Themes: (including but not limited) - Ecological Environment Changes and Winter Sports - Regional Characteristics, Urbanization and Winter Sports - Science & Technology and Winter Sports - University Education and Youth Development - Winter Sports and the Promotion of Youth Health
