2008 WUC Weightlifting: Update

The inaugural edition of the World University Weightlifting Championship will take place from November 24th to 28th, 2008 and will be hosted by the Greek National University Sports Federation in the city of Komotini. Komotini is an established university city in the North of Greece known for its high standard of education and the unique and unforgettable 'Komotini student experience'. The Komotini campus has a dynamic population of approximately 5 to 10,000 students and a major part of social life evolves around it. The founding of the University of Thrace in 1973 has had a significant positive influence on the entire urban area fuelling the city's expansion and growth.
