FISU SG Eric Saintrond presents Mr. Kir with a FISU souvenir
Today, September 3rd, Emir Kir, member of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region visited the FISU Headquarters to meet FISU Secretary-General Eric Saintrond. Mr. Kir was shown around the Solitude Manor by Mr. Saintrond and Köle Gjeloshaj, FISU Director of Education. As Mr. Kir is in charge of Monuments and Sites for the Brussels-Capital Region, he was very much interested in the rich history of the FISU Manor, being a classified building. Since Mr. Kir is also Minister of the Council of the Francophone Community Commission in charge of Social Matters, Family and Sports, it is obvious he also had a keen interest in sport and in particular University Sports. During their meeting Mr. Saintrond and Mr. Kir discussed different topics regarding the unique situation of the FISU HQ in Brussels and some future projects the Brussels-Capital Region could initiate in close cooperation with FISU.
