"A high level schedule including return trips to the Canada Cup and the US World Cup will provide the training and competition necessary to prepare us for championship play at the Pan American Games. Additionally, the chance to experience multi sport events such as the Pan American Games and Summer Universiade can only elevate each player's confidence and experience level while providing the necessary evaluating opportunities for the staff leading into Olympic team selection." Canada will play in a pool with Taiwan, South Africa, Italy and host Thailand at the 2007 Universiade.
