The Heads of Delegation Meeting

At the beautiful Gary Player Golf Course of Sun City, one of the best Golf venues in the Republic of South Africa, most of the participants for the 12th World University Golf Championship arrived on August 31st. While the players used the time for a first practice round on the challenging competition course, the OC and the FISU delegates held the first three meetings. Diane Thomason, the FISU CTI Chair for Golf, managed the technical meeting with OC President Chaka Coucramp and his experienced technical crew. "The organizing committee has been working hard to present a championhip that is first class. The courses will be a true test of golf for our players. The event will be competitive and fun for all participants," Diane Thomason said. FISU EC member Leonz Eder lead the first CISCA meeting, and in the evening, the Head of Delegations meeting took place at Sun City Hotel. OC President Chaka Croukamp pointed out, that "all the hard work and passion displayed by all members, will be rewarded by oustanding performances by young golfers who are ready to challenge each other in the true spirit of sportsmanship."
