ERZURUM - FISU is rising to the challenges of the digital world with the launch of a Community Social Network platform designed to bring sport and academia even closer together. www.fisu-community.net will allow university athletes and students worldwide to celebrate, share and communicate in the true spirit of friendship and sportsmanship as never before

‘We can now bring members (fans and athletes) together from across the FISU landscape into a central hub. After Facebook and Twitter, we are now taking social interaction a stage further with the activation of our own social network platform which enables everyone to participate. The FISU community can now be part of a deeper two-way conversation’, said FISU Secretary-General/CEO Eric Saintrond.

For its community net FISU partners with Eurovision Click Digital Media Services in London to grow the value of its content assets across TV, web and mobile by launching its own social networking community, www.fisu-community.net which will be launched at the forthcoming 25th Winter Universiade which takes place in Erzurum, Turkey from January 27th to February 6th.

By deploying the power of the Eurovision’s Click Digital Media Services, the community site has been specifically designed to give a presence of FISU in a social media context. The community site will enable FISU to extend reach, enhance brand impact and build revenue opportunities within the digital arena, whilst helping to drive engagement and create buzz for the FISU 25th World Winter University Games and beyond.

www.fisu-community.net will provide fans and enthusiasts of all FISU sports and from across all nationalities to come together in a central place to share thoughts, experiences, photos, videos, messaging and chat as well as catch up on the latest FISU news all in a secure community environment.

The FISU community site provides users with a meeting place to engage with other fans of their sports, students from other universities involved in the same sports as well as providing them with a platform to interact with people with related sporting interests.

Users simply have to register to become part of a growing and exciting community aimed directly at them and their participation with the International University Sports Federation.
