9th World University Chess Championship

Lagos, Nigeria - August 28th to September 3rd, 2006

Events

Men and Women The competition will last 7 days (the obligatory day of rest included) and will include the following: - One men's tournament. - One women’s tournament A team classification will be established according to the sum of the results of the 4 players (2 in each tournament) who were selected for the team ranking at the start of the tournament. Only countries with at least 2 competitors in the open tournament and 2 competitors in the women's tournament will be taken into account for the team classification.

Participation

Each country is authorised to enter an unlimited number of players in each tournament and a maximum of 5 officials. A Team classification will be established according to the sum of the results of the 4 best players (2 in each tournament) who were selected for the team ranking at the start of the tournament. Only countries with at least 2 competitors in the open torunament and 2 competitors in the women's tournament will be taken into account for the team classification.

Age Limit

The competitors must be born between January 1st, 1978 and December 31st, 1988.

General Entries: 28/02/2006 Quantitative Entries: 28/05/2006 Nominative Entries: 28/07/2006 Prepaiement: 25 % before 28/05/2006
