BRASILIA - CBDU President Luciano Cabral and CBDU technical advisor Ricardo Souza, met with WUC Director Laurent Briel, during the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey to discuss the preparations of the two 2012 WUC (Handball & Beach Volleyball) which will be hosted in Brazil.
During the meeting it was agreed to set up the CBDU headquarters in Brasilia (DF) as temporary contact address of the organizing committees of both World University Championships to centralize and optimize the communication and contact between FISU, CBDU and the host cities: Blumenau (Handball) and Maceio (Beach Volleyball).
"We are also closing the exact dates of the tournaments along with the cities and FISU, to start spreading among the countries affiliated to FISU, and arranging technical visits for FISU’s directors this year during events of handball and beach volleyball in the host cities so they know the structure that we will offer during the competition ", Luciano Cabral said.
