6th WUC Bridge – Day 2 – High Level of Play!

REIMS - The second day’s play saw no major upsets. The four overnight leaders were joined by Poland 2, which is a team worth looking out for, considering that it contains three previous University medallists, who have earned six medals in total: five silver and one gold for Jan Sikora at the 2010 Worlds. Germany also caught up with the leaders, by catching France 1 who had to face both Polish teams.

In conjunction with the student’s tournament, the Organising Committee decided to stage a one-day sponsor’s tournament for all sponsors supporting the 6th World University Bridge Championship. The event was greatly appreciated by all those involved and the gold medal went to Mr. and Mrs. Beranguer. In the evening, the Organizer invited all partners and heads of delegation to a reception, concluding and celebrating a successful day of competitions.

Paul Magerman Cup

The jury for the Paul Magerman Cup will be composed of Harry Van De Peppel, Jean-Christophe Quantin, Kees Tammens and Wu Qiang.
